Nadiya Godrume Nityanand Mahajan
A timeless praise of Sri Nityanand Maharaj by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura in devanagari hindi

The Nadīyā Godrume, officially called as the Nagara Kirtana Song 1; Ājñā-Ṭahal (आज्ञा टहल) in Gītāvalī (A Collection of Songs) written by Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura in 1893, is an ode to the divine personage of Nityānaṅd Prabhu and his divine mission to spread the holy name of Kṛṣṇa. This post is a humble offering by this slave to serve this in hindi as I couldn't find this song anywhere in Devanagari script. Harībōl!
About the Author
Born on 2nd of September, 1838 A.D., Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura is largely responsible for the intellectual spread of the religion of the Gaudiyas and the teachings of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu! Before him, the teachings of Mahaprabhu were confined and practiced by a few select individuals who tried spread the holy Kṛṣṇa name through sankirtan and community service. Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, through his massive intellect, which was directed not just at the understanding of his faith but at acknowledging the need for a more authoritative approach, wrote extensively on the fundamental tenets of Gaudiya Vaishnavism in a scholarly way which attracted the brilliant minds of his time and made the educated community acknowledge the highly spiritual teachings of Mahaprabhu and the Gosvamis! He wrote many songs and poems which are compiled in the Gītāvalī and the following song is borrowed from the Śrī Nagar-Kīrtana section of the Gītāvalī.
For various reasons, common people do not easily develop faith in exalted persons who are still living, whereas they tend to develop great faith in the activities of mahājanas who have passed away.
The servant writing this post hopes the devotees of the Lord will enjoy sucking the nectar of this beautiful composition! Harībōl!

Nadīyā Godrume Nityānaṅd Mahājan

नदिया गोद्रुमे नित्यानंद महाजन ।
पटियाचे नाम-हट्टा जीवेर कारण ।।
nadīyā-godrume nityānanda mahājana
patiyāche nām-haṭṭa jīvera kāraṇa
In the land of Nadīyā, on the island of Godruma, the magnanimous Lord Nityānanda has opened up the Marketplace of the Holy Name, meant for the deliverance of all fallen souls.
(श्रद्धावान जन हे, श्रद्धावान जन हे)
प्रभुर आज्ञाय भाई मागि एइ भिक्षा ।
बोलो कृष्ण, भजो कृष्ण, कोरो कृष्ण-शिक्षा ।।
(śraddhāvān jan he, śraddhāvān jan he)
prabhura ājñāy, bhāi, māgi ei bhikṣā
bolo kṛṣṇa, bhajo kṛṣṇa, koro kṛṣṇa-śikṣā
O men of faith! O men of faith! By the order of Lord Gaurāṅga, O brothers, I beg this one request: Chant “Kṛṣṇa!”, worship Kṛṣṇa, and follow Kṛṣṇa’s instructions.
अपराध-शून्य होय लोहो कृष्ण-नाम ।
कृष्ण माता, कृष्ण पिता, कृष्ण धन-प्रान ।।
aparādha-śūnya hoye loho kṛṣṇa-nām
kṛṣṇa mātā, kṛṣṇa pitā, kṛṣṇa dhana-prān
Being careful to remain free of offenses, just take the holy name of Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa is your mother, Kṛṣṇa is your father, and Kṛṣṇa is the treasure of your life.
कृषणेर संसार कोरो छाड़ी अनाचार ।
जीवे दोया, कृष्ण-नाम, सर्व-धर्म-सार ।।
kṛṣṇera saṁsāra koro chāḍī anācār
jīve doyā, kṛṣṇa-nām-sarva-dharma-sār
Giving up all improper behavior, carry on your worldly duties only in relation to Kṛṣṇa. The showing of compassion to all fallen souls by loudly chanting the holy name of Kṛṣṇa is the essence of all forms of religion.
